HIP 300 - 2024 Red Hot Heels

We started off this week with a thrilling milestone as we successfully sold our first yearling to a two-year-old in training pinhook on March 18, 2026, at the Ocala Breeders' Sales (OBS). This sale marked a significant achievement for our team, as it represented not only the first time we tapped into this market and the culmination of months of hard work and dedication in preparing the horse for the sales ring and breeze show, but it's also a testament to the expertise and knowledge of our team that picked out the amazing filly.

From October 5 to October 7, 2025, our assistant farm manager Beth Sickler and our trainer Abraham Gardea looked at countless horses before coming up with their final shortlist. Luck was on our side, when they purchased HIP 209 a gorgeous Volatile filly for $27,000. In the months that followed, we watched as Abraham expertly took our filly from an unbroke yearling to putting in an amazing breeze and gallop out time at the OBS breeze show: 10.1 - 21.0 - 33.3 - 47.2 for his consignment.

On March 18, 2025, we watched with excitement as our filly entered the sales ring and sold for $70,000 to Lauren Carlisle, Agent - a farm best in the sales ring.

As the week progressed, we continued to maintain our momentum and enthusiasm, culminating in an exhilarating finale on March 13, 2026. Our four-year-old, who was making his debut, put on an impressive display of speed and stamina as he dominated the field at Tampa Bay Downs.

Back in October 2025, our trainer Abraham reached out and informed us that there was a horse for sale. After hearing about this horse's rocky start and valuing our trainer's input and opinion, we purchased this horse privately . . . and of course we had to give him a fitting name (because we believe a horse lives up to their name). RESURGO, Latin for "I will rise again" and rise he did! In just five months, he blossomed from a skinny, fuzzy horse turned out in a field, to a horse that proved he is all heart.

Right from the start of the race, Resurgo navigated the track with power, ultimately crossing the finish line with a commanding lead, all while remaining under wraps! After the finish line he was still running to the point where even the announcer noted, "Resurgo is faster than the drone!" The ease and style he showed is unfathomable!

2026 has been looking like a good year! Coming off watching a horse we bred, foaled, and raised begin his road to the Kentucky Derby, to the triumph at Tampa Bay Downs and success at our first two-year old in training sale, not only boosted the morale of our team but also solidified our reputation in the breeding and racing communities as a force to be reckoned with. From our family on the farm caring for our broodmares, foals, and yearlings, to our trainers on the racetrack and their employees, the grooms, hotwalkers, and jockeys, they all have played crucial roles in not just preparing both the yearling for sale and Resurgo for his race, but all the success our farm has been blessed to receive throughout our years in this industry. Their hard work and commitment were evident in the results we achieved this week. We have been truly blessed to have such amazing, honest, caring, and trustworthy people caring for all of our horses on our farm, at training centers and at the racetrack.

As we reflect on these accomplishments, we are filled with gratitude and excitement for what the future holds for the Majestic team and our equine athletes. The week has truly been a celebration of our passion for horse racing and our unwavering dedication to excellence in every aspect of our operations.
